Equipping the Cinema Halls of Charsou Commercial-Cultural Complex in Tehran
Charsou Commercial-Cultural Complex is one of the capital’s most modern shopping and entertainment centers, with a cultural section containing several standard cinema halls. In 2014, Rezco was responsible for designing, manufacturing, and installing the seating for this complex—a project with a total capacity of 950 seats and a clear example of the company’s ability to execute large-scale projects.
Two dedicated seat models were used in this project:
- R-2014: Standard cinema seat
- R-2015: Amphitheater seat
Design and Structural Engineering
Both models are designed with a single-base structure, fixed cushions, and backrests equipped with a movable spring mechanism. This design ensures audience comfort during long screenings and minimizes pressure on the spine through the gentle movement of the backrest.
Materials and Technical Structure
The visible backrests are covered with plastic shells that provide both an attractive appearance and high resistance to wear. The armrests are made of injection-molded plastic and include a cup holder. If repair or replacement is required, maintenance can be completed with minimal cost and time. The armrests can also be upholstered to match the seat fabric or finished with integral material.
The base frame is covered with a plastic shell, while the cushion’s internal frame is made of raw MDF to provide structural strength. The backrest uses pressed contoured plywood, offering flexibility together with durability.
Foam: The Core of Seating Comfort
One of the key factors in seating comfort is the type of foam used. In this project, the cushion and backrest use premium flame-retardant cold foam with high density and closed-cell structure. It offers outstanding resistance to continuous pressure and maintains its shape over time. This choice ensures lasting comfort even after years of heavy use.
