Designing and equipping concert halls involves more than installing seats. Factors such as hall acoustics, standard sightline slopes, professional lighting, interior décor, and appropriate seating all play a key role in the audience’s visual and listening experience. For the Milad Concert Hall at Tehran International Exhibition Center, Rezco (Rezco) was responsible for the hall’s design, interior décor, and furniture equipment. Implemented in 2018, the project has a capacity of 1,878 seats, making it one of the country’s largest concert venues and a host to major cultural, musical, national, and international events.

The project combined architectural design, precise acoustic calculations, and ergonomic seating to create a standard venue for concerts and large-scale events.

Hall Architectural and Acoustic Design

One of the project’s most important aspects was concert hall acoustic design. In large concert venues, even minor design errors can cause echo, unwanted sound reflections, and reduced audio clarity.

At Milad Hall, precise acoustic calculations and suitable wall and ceiling materials were used to distribute sound evenly throughout the venue and provide audiences in every row with high-quality audio.

Concert Hall Furniture and Seating

Milad Concert Hall uses seating designed for amphitheaters, concerts, and large cinema halls. Considering the hall’s high capacity and long programs, the seats provide excellent ergonomics and durability.

Features include:

• Single-base design for efficient use of hall space
• Fixed seat with a durable structure for greater stability
• Movable spring-operated backrest for audience comfort
• Plastic armrests with cup holders for greater convenience
• Premium flame-retardant cold foam in the seat and backrest
• Ergonomic design suitable for extended programs

The backrest surfaces feature durable plastic frames that provide long service life and give the hall an orderly, professional appearance.
