Design and Equipping of Golestan Cinema Complex in Shiraz
Golestan Cinema Complex, located in the Daneshnameh Fars Cultural Complex, is one of southern Iran’s notable projects in the design and execution of standard cinema halls. Completed in 2015, the project combines modern architectural principles with acoustic engineering to create an ideal film-viewing environment.
The Project Story: More Than a Cinema Space
The goal was to create a Grade-A standard venue capable of hosting a wide range of audiences. With three halls, Golestan Cinema Complex offers a total capacity of 300 people. Its main hall, with 230 seats, serves as the centerpiece of the complex.
During the design phase, the technical team focused on two main areas: professional acoustics and user experience (UX). Detailed acoustic calculations, selected ceiling and wall materials, and even the floor covering were planned to eliminate environmental noise and distribute sound evenly throughout the halls.
Key Project Features:
- Interior decoration: Use of drywall for the walls and acoustic tiles on the ceiling to control sound reflections.
- Comfort furnishings: Ergonomic seats with spring mechanisms, together with a VIP section to enhance audience satisfaction.
- Technical quality: JBL equipment for the audio system and Panasonic equipment for image projection, ensuring high visual and acoustic quality.
- Insulation: Design of semi-acoustic double-leaf doors that combine visual appeal with protection against external noise.
